A conjunction is one kind word
connecting two items (words sentences, phrases, or clauses) collectively same.

The forms conjunctions / conjunctive :

1. Coordinating conjunction

Coordinating conjunctions, also was called 'coordinators', is said connecting link two or more words, clauses, or sentence, which has the form syntax (the rules in terms of making sentences) are the same. For
ease in memorizing ordinary
abbreviated (F)or, (A)nd, (N)or, (B)ut, (O)r, (Y)et, and (S)o.

A. For : Imamsyah Al-Hadi always keeps the lights on, for he is afraid of
sleeping in the
B. And : My sister lives in South Sulawesi, and my brother lives in North Sulawesi.
C. Nor : Ali doesn’t enjoy learning
English , nor does he enjoy football.
D. But : Muh. Imran enjoys learning English, but he doesn’t enjoy playing football.
E. Yet : Muh. Imran enjoys learning
English, yet he doesn’t enjoy playing
football.
F. Or : Next month I will go to my
hometown, or I may just stay in Makassar.
G. So : I have a dream to go abgroad,
so I have to study English more.

2. Correlative conjunction

Correlative conjunctions, also commonly called 'paired conjunctions',
is a conjunctive pairs that harmonize or harmonize 2 items (words, sentences, phrases, or clause).
Examples : both…and, not only…but also, either…or, neither…nor.

A. Both : Both Muh. Syihab and Muh.
Hasan basri are the members of New
Generation Club.
B. Not only : Not only my sister but also my brother is in Makassar.
C. Either : Either my sister or my brother is in Makassar.
D. Neither : Neither my sister nor my brother is in Makassar.

3.   Subordinating conjunction

Subordinating conjuctions, also called
'Subordinators', a word liaison who introduced a sentence. Conjunctive
'Subordinating' used in the adverb
clause which can not stand alone without any sentence led her.

A. Time : after, before, when, while, as, as soon as, since, until, by the time, once, whenever, every time etc.
B. Cause and effect : because, now that,
since etc.
C. Contrast : even though, although,
though etc.
D. Direct contrast : while, whereas etc.
E. Condition : if, unless, only if whether or not, even if, in case, in the even that etc.
